Very Good: A book that does not look new and has been read but is in excellent condition. No obvious damage to the cover, with the dust jacket (if applicable) included for hard covers. No missing or damaged pages, no creases or tears, and no underlining/highlighting of text or writing in the margins. May be very minimal identifying marks on the inside cover. Very minimal wear and tear.

This is a bound volume of the La Presse (French-language) newspaper from France from January-June 1840 featuring great articles on a somewhat tumultuous time in French history as well as science, theater, arts and other news. La Presse was the first penny press newspaper of France and is regarded as the first recognizable newspaper title in industrialized France. This newspaper volume is in overall good condition showing more wear to the outer binding especially around the spine and some other wear and tear due to age. Please look at the photos and ask any questions you might have. Some pages may show stamps near the margins.
